Infortuni da sovraccarico: cosa sono e come li previene chi si allena sul serio

Overload injuries: what they are and how serious workouts prevent them

You don’t need violent clashes or unnatural movements to get hurt. Many injuries are born in silence, day after day, when the body is stressed without being properly protected.

Let’s talk about overload injuries: inflammations, microlesions, tendonitis, joint stress. They are the invisible enemy of many players, especially at amateur level.
The good news is that they can be prevented with methods.

What are overload injuries?

They are traumas that do not result from a single event (e.g. contrast or fall), but from incorrect repetitions or prolonged loads over time.
The most common in football are:

  • Knee or Achilles tendon
  • Pubalgia
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Recurrent muscle inflammation

They often start as minor annoyances and are underestimated... until they become disabling.

Who is most at risk?

1.Who plays on hard terrain (old synthetic, beaten earth)
2.Who trains without adequate recovery phases
3.Those who wear shoes too rigid or worn
4.Who does not properly stabilize the foot inside the shoe

This last point is often ignored: a shoe that "works badly" with the foot can multiply the load on tendons and joints.

How to (really) prevent these injuries?

You don’t need to revolutionize training. You need to adopt smart little habits:

  • Heating and cooling always present
  • Pay attention to the weekly load (do not increase too much from one week to the next)
  • Correct footwear and supports
  • Use of technical equipment designed for prevention

The role of grip socks and technical insoles

Many ankle, knee and back pains start from instability in the foot.
When the foot slips inside the shoe, or is not well supported, the load is not distributed properly and focuses on fragile areas.

The Total Stability System works in two ways:

1.SOXPro prevents internal slippage, improving control in rapid movements
2.Football Insoles support the arch and absorb part of the impact, reducing repeated trauma to the joints

They do not cure, but prevention is always better than recovery.

Training intelligently: the real difference

Those who train consistently and methodically know that the body needs to be protected, not just boosted.
Knowing the signals, using proper equipment and respecting the weekly load are chosen by serious athlete - no matter if you play in Serie A or on Monday night with friends.
