Come lavare (bene) le calze tecniche per farle durare davvero a lungo

How to wash (well) technical stockings to make them last really long

Technical stockings are an investment.
Whether you use them to play, run or work out in the gym, you want them to last - and maintain grip, shape and comfort for as long as possible.

The good news?
With a few simple precautions you can extend the life of your SOXPro, avoiding common mistakes that risk ruining them in a few weeks.

Here’s how to wash (and dry) them properly.

1. Machine wash? Yes, but carefully

SOXPro can be washed in the washing machine, but there are 3 basic rules:

1. Max temperature 30° → too hot washes can spoil the technical materials
2. Gentle ride  avoids aggressive centrifuges that stress the seams
3. No softening  the number one enemy of grip, makes it slippery and less effective

💡 Useful tip: always wash it backwards, to better protect the grip inserts.

2. No dryer: air is your ally

Direct heat (e.g. dryer, radiator, strong sun) ruins the elastic fibers and silicone inserts.

Dry them in the air, away from heat sources, preferably hanging or laid out horizontally.

This way you will maintain elasticity, shape and anti-slip properties even after dozens of washes.

3. How often should they be washed?

Depends on the intensity of use:

Heavy use (games, training): after each use

Light use (gym, recovery): every 1-2 uses

Leaving them wet in the backpack for days is one of the main causes of deterioration and bad smell. It is better to wash them immediately or at least let them dry well in the air.

4. How to keep them in shape

  • Avoid bending them too much or rolling them tightly
  • Keep them in a dry drawer, well separated from the shoes
  • If possible, store them in a breathable bag (especially in summer)

Bonus: signals that it’s time to change them
Even the best technical stockings have a life cycle.
When is it time to replace them:

  • The grip begins to "crumble" or no longer sticks
  • The sock loses elasticity and slips during use
  • Thinned areas, holes or seams appear

With good care, a SOXPro can last dozens and dozens of uses, maintaining the same performance as on the first day.

Take care of the details. Take care of your SOXPro.
Follow these tips and make the most of every workout.
